While most of AnnotatedEarth is concerned with telling you what's around you, if you're participating in AnnotatedEarth Tracking, it can also tell you what AnnotatedEarth users are around you, and let other users know when you are around them.  It can just tell you about everyone around you, or those that match your interests.

Normal AnnotatedEarth users will not be tracker (the location information you send is only used to service the request; it is never stored beyond that request).  To participate in tracking, you'll need to turn tracking on (go the user setup page to do so), and use the tracking pages or a AnnotatedEarth-enabled application that does tracking.
